Our IT Team is looking for a Senior Systems Support Technician to join us to support our nationwide network of practices and act as a senior to the Help Desk team.

About the role

Based in our Auckland CBD Head Office you will be responsible for supporting our practices with IT and systems assistance, including installation, setup, hardware and software troubleshooting, and general support of various software packages.

This role will have a large focus on maintaining the systems architecture behind our new Dental Plan app, and you will be responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring systems associated with this. You will also provide systems training, contribute to projects, and enjoy being part of a team that has a tangible impact on our success.

You're driven by providing human solutions to technical issues, and your willingness to learn and customer-centric approach compliments your technical aptitude.

Technical Skills

  • Hardware and software troubleshooting (problem solving, fault finding and diagnostic skills)LAN/WAN Networking, Internet technologies (Citrix, Desktop and Email)
  • Remote site management tools (remote access, patching, backup monitoring)
  • You must be experienced with Office 365 and have demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Azure is also highly desirable, but not a pre-requisite.

Personal Attributes

  • A self-starter, you will show initiative
  • You'll be open and approachable as a first point of contact for escalations from Help Desk staff
  • Previous experience in a senior support role at tier 2 or 3 levels is a pre-requisite
  • This role will offer the opportunity to step up when the IT Manager is not available so previous experience in a senior role will set you apart

You may also have exposure to Sharepoint, database administration, and knowledge of IP phone systems - but crucially, your attitude and aptitude for learning will ensure you thrive in this role.
