Your new company
A leading government organisation is seeking a bright Telephony Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Wellington. You will provide support to the Technology Operations team to ensure all requirements are fulfilled to the highest standard, while working within a team shaping the future and safety of all New Zealanders.
Your new role
As an experienced Telephony Infrastructure Engineer you will be required to:
- Implement new solutions and services along with performing pro-active maintenance to ensure the infrastructure environment is well supported
- Provide specialist knowledge and advice, including communicating with end-users on functionality and business context
- Maintain documentation to a high standard including reporting on backup, upgraded planning, fault resolution methods and system configuration.
- Proactively monitor all environments for any potential problems, implement systems enhancements for backup systems environments and Systems Management
What you'll need to succeed
An ideal candidate for this role with have experience with:
- Telephony services and related infrastructure
- Unix, Linux and SAN environments
- Enterprise infrastructure including Microsoft server technologies, Windows Server and Citrix Server environments
- Radio network services and infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
