In this varied role, you will enjoy a mix of:

• Solution conceptualisation with clients
• Architectural specification
• Detailed API and application specification
• Data modelling
• Providing technical leadership across the full solution delivery lifecycle
• Sales support and project estimation

You will often work on site with our large clients as a subject matter expert, working with client stakeholders, analysts, project managers, and other systems specialists, to deliver to project objectives and operational support levels.

You will have access to guidance and support from colleagues within OSS Group and our software partners.

Skills

The successful candidate will have skills in:

• Business analysis and solution specification
• Multi-tier and web application development
• Testing and troubleshooting
• Definition of processes and best practices
• Documentation
• Project planning, estimation and tracking.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable enterprise expertise across:

• Architecture and Data modelling techniques and tools
• Any combination of Enterprise, Solution and Application Architecture
• Integration frameworks (e.g. Talend, Mule, Apache Camel)
• RESTful services
• Java-based technologies and frameworks
• Identity, authentication and authorisation technologies (e.g. OAuth2, Oracle Access Manager)
• SQL Database technologies
• Big Data technologies

• Expertise in the following would be advantageous:
  • Master Data Management
  • BPMN, BPEL
  • CRM applications
  • IP networking, security
  • Virtual and physical infrastructure
  • Systems monitoring, management and orchestration tools

The successful candidate will have:

• Positive attitude and aptitude for learning new technologies and skills
• Ability to make and maintain relationships with, and consult with business stakeholders up to enterprise C-level, and with technical stakeholders
• Strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes and client success
• Strong oral and written English communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality documentation
• Organised and methodical working style
• Understanding of the big picture, and attention to detail where required
• Understanding of technology and how it fits with a business
• Previous experience as a Senior Developer and/or Architect
• Ability to work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience in delivering enterprise solutions in alignment with various methodologies, and able to articulate their principles, benefits and overheads
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Willingness to undertake some outside hours and/or on-call work
• NZ citizenship or an appropriate NZ work permit

Relevant certifications are of interest, but are not essential to the role.

Existing relationships with senior client stakeholders and the ability to gain business from them would be advantageous.
