The world of Javascript is an ever-evolving one these days, it now stands alone with its own identity and is no longer the poor cousin to object orientated languages like .NET or Java. With a pedigree of over 20 years my client is now experiencing massive growth internationally and because of that, there is an ever-increasing demand to expand their team here in New Zealand on Auckland's North Shore.

The Role
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to work in the JavaScript domain of a prestigious product. The role will see you forming apart of a wider digital team working on technologies such as JavaScript, React, Redux, WebPack, and NodeJS to name a few.
On a day to day basis, your primary responsibility will be to work on front-end aspects of the applications as well as contributing to Javascript backend API's and the test automation pipeline. You will also be responsible for leading technically a high performing team of JavaScript and QA Engineers, sharing your knowledge while providing coaching and mentoring to the team that prides itself on collaboration and innovation.
 
 
The Successful Candidate Will Have

• 5+ years experience with Javascript using it as an integral part of your development arsenal
• Strong experience with React (Redux, Node, Mocha, Chai, WebPack) or MEAN stack
• Structured Object Orientated experience - unit testing, version control etc
• Technical leadership and design level skills
• A strong Agile/Scrum background
• Excellent English communication skills. 
• Only candidates presently based in NZ will be considered and you must possess the required visa to work in a full-time role
