System Engineer based in Tauranga
What a great opportunity to live and work in a part of New Zealand which offers a great climate, and work life balance. My client is looking for someone with hands on experience to provide design and implementation skills to create and support their infrastructure and application platform.
We are looking for the following experience:

Installing and maintaining the operation system managing upgrades and patches

Technical fault analysis, troubleshooting and problem resolution
-
Implementing solutions, including new or enhanced systems, technology or infrastructure
-
Ensuring that backups are run and verified regularly
-
Writing relevant documentation including technical documents
-
Performing capacity analysis
Your background:
-
At least 5 years experience in a similar role
-
Solid system design, build, and integration experience
-
A relevant tertiary qualification
-
Technical involvement in large scale projects
-
Technical writing and documentation to a high standard.
Some of the Technical skills our client require:

Microsoft technologies (AD, Printing, DHCP, DNS)

Cloud technologies (Office365, Exchange Online, Azure and AWS)

Virtualisation technologies (eg VMWare)
-
Storage technologies (SAN, DAS, NAS)
-
Application delivery e.g. RDS and Citrix XenDesktop 7.x

Data protection, back up and recovery
-
Core Application e.g MS Exchange, SQL
-
Platform monitoring and management e.g. SCCM and SCOM
-
Windows deployment and patching
-
Powershell scripting
-
Sharepoint and Skype for Business knowledge would be beneficial
