The opportunity

Part of the People & Performance division, the Digital and Transformation team improves how Auckland Council performs by delivering and supporting customer-friendly service priorities. In this two-year programme, you'll work in an environment where your input is listened to, you'll be given the opportunity to attend professional development courses, learn how to use a variety of software applications and provide support to the people who interact with our customers on the front line.

You will work in our multi-disciplinary team with specialists in Lean, service design, organisational change, business analysis, UX, digital content and more!  You will be involved in the ongoing transition to digital services and continuous improvement projects across the organisation.  We are a constantly evolving department which means there is always an opportunity to learn new skills.

About you

To be eligible to apply, you must have the following:

  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand, or be eligible to apply for a Post-Study Work Visa
  • A relevant Bachelor degree or postgraduate qualification obtained in the last two years, or be a current student and graduating before the end of January 2019.

This graduate programme is a unique opportunity to gain exposure and experience in the dynamic field of service enhancement and digital services within a team focused on achieving our vision – for Auckland to be a world-class city. We are looking for graduates with a qualification in a relevant field, specifically business studies, computer science, multimedia technology/design, journalist/English literature, information/knowledge systems, logic and computation, social sciences, humanities, statistics, and customer experience.
