SilverStripe is looking for a talented Product Marketing Specialist to join our passionate Product team based at our Head Office in Wellington.

What you will be doing

As our Product Marketing Specialist, you will work closely alongside our Head of Product and Product Owners to communicate SilverStripe's products to our clients, community and users, both within New Zealand and internationally. Using your competitive analysis experience, you will help the Product team to grow its insight into how SilverStripe can strengthen its product-to-market fit. You'll be a key point of contact between our Sales and Marketing teams, supporting their work by growing SilverStripe market intelligence on it's main platform and CMS competitors, monitoring market trends and developing product content, information assets and comparison information.

By participating in team stand-ups and gathering feedback, you will become a subject matter expert, able to answer technical questions and inquiries with confidence. You will help to develop product marketing programs and multimedia collateral to support lead generation. This role will play an important part in pre-sales engagement and contributing product/ marketing fit understanding to RFPs.

You will have a mixture of marketing and product experience, alongside strong research, analysis and communication skills. While not a visual design role, the ability to create visual assets to support sales presentations following SilverStripe brand guidelines is desirable.

• Experience marketing products, particularly launching new products and driving adoption
• Experience with data-driven marketing and user research
• Experience in content marketing
• An understanding of web development and the web industry
• Strong organisational, project management and administrative skills
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence in converting technical features into business value propositions
• The ability to work under pressure, and with timelines that change
• A natural curiosity and drive towards self-improvement
• A relevant formal qualification and at least 3+ years experience in marketing or product development.
