Navico is a specialist electronics company; its brands operate in navigation, fish finding equipment and value-added applications for the marine industry.

Our focus on making boating safer, easier and more fun, has resulted in the release of a number of world leading products.

Due to significant growth within our Software Development Team based in Auckland, we have multiple opportunities for skilled Senior C++ Developers. This is a great opportunity to join a highly talented team working on some great new products and contribute at a senior level towards their delivery.

This is not your traditional embedded C++ development role. You will be working on some cutting edge technologies, across the very latest and greatest products that Navico will bring to market.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A strong background in C++ development with exposure to modern C++
• Great communication skills both verbal and written
• Worked within an Agile team in a product development organisation
• A passion for developing beautiful user interfaces for consumer products
• Experience working with UI/application frameworks, preferably Qt
• An appreciation for TDD and the benefits of Automated Testing

Most of all you will need to be enthusiastic about Software Development and have a passion for your craft.

This is a senior role so we expect you to have:

• Significant commercial experience (5+ years)
• Bachelor’s  degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent would be highly desired
