Our client is a well-established platform in the property industry. They are on a steady growth trajectory and you may be the next step in their success story.
They need you to lead and guide a team of around 7 developers on mixed levels of experience through the SDLC, ensuring the effective delivery of quality work and the team are operating at maximum capacity. Having an Agile mindset will help you along whilst working with key stakeholders to get projects out the door.
You will need to be the wise owl with the technical know-how for the development, design, systems integration and overall service delivery from the definition phase right through to implementation and post-launch accountability.
Being able to discuss with stakeholders the value of new features, enhancements, and support issues and being able to schedule the work within the broader team.
Be the bridge between the support team and the developers.
Be the driver of great quality delivery and code! Bring your best process and best practice to the team, guide, mentor, peer review, develop a culture of personal quality and help the team take accountability for their individual results and individual contribution to quality.
Duties and skills required;
PEOPLE SKILLS
- Being able to balance the mentorship with a consultative approach will be advantageous
- Big picture thinking
- Leading the development team and ensuring that it is operating at maximum efficiency.
- Taking part in evaluations and reviews of programming methods, tools and standards.
- Ensuring the quality of development
- Providing guidance and assistance to the team in any aspect of program design, creation, testing and documentation.
- Mentoring and assisting in the team development to achieve excellence
- Performing regular 1-2-1s with team members to drive performance in alignment with the set objectives.
- Lead, manage and motivate the team including managing people and management processes.
TECH SKILLS
- There is a move from legacy desk top apps to modern cloud using .Net and includes Angular
- An understanding of work-flow tools such as GIT, TFS, Team City and Octopus Deploy and unit testing
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- We need the specialist skills to help the team in the technologies including web services, API designs for extensibility and portability
- Microsoft SQL
