About the organisation
The position is based in the head office of a high profile government agency. It is based in their very large ICT group, and you will be a member of the ICT commercial management team. The organisation has one of THE largest ICT budgets across the NZ government sector in relation to their ICT operations, and as a result there are numerous contracts and service level agreements that need to be managed, reported on and monitored.
About the role
The position reports to the ICT Commercial Manager.
There are THREE key areas that relate to the role:
1. Vendor engagement and relationship management
2. Service contract reporting and negotiation
3. In-house business user and stakeholder liaison and engagement.
They are definitely looking for someone with a background in the ICT industry who has had exposure to ICT service management contracts. In addition, you will be involved as part of a commercial team whenever any new contract negotiations are entered in to with ICT vendor organisations.
You also need to have liaised with vendor and supplier organisations in the past, and to have a track record of building and maintaining positive ongoing relationships.
There is also extensive liaison involved around working with other non-ICT business users and stakeholders around formal reporting and informal business engagement.
