INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
The Department
ITS (Information Technology Services) is responsible for the provision, maintenance, and support of information and communication technologies and business systems within the University of Otago community. We are one of the largest ICT operations in New Zealand, supporting 27,000 users, an extensive communications network across multiple campuses, and a wide range and variety of ICT systems.
The Role
As part of our new IT Projects Unit, you will develop, deliver, monitor and manage all aspects of complex and/or medium to large size Information Technology projects from planning through to completion.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience delivering enterprise scale IT systems and infrastructure.
- A relevant tertiary level qualification (in project management, information technology or a relevant business discipline) and/or recognised qualification(s) appropriate to the role (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).
- Ability to communicate technical and complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience working with Project Portfolio Management systems.
- Excellent financial acumen and reporting skills with fluency in preparing spreadsheets, managing project budgets and understanding project financial information.
- Experience in managing complex resource models.
