Our client, one of New Zealand's leading brand and digital agencies, is looking for their next superstar who is keen to immerse themselves in the world of UI and UX design. This opportunity is perfect for an established or a high-end junior who wants to step up or an intermediate keen to get into an expanding digital agency.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the UX / UI lead and highly experienced Creative Director to be mentored and learn the ropes from some of the best in the industry. A passionate team who lives and breathes digital innovation and craft and consistently exceeds client expectations surrounds this role. They have grown exponentially and have picked up a large number of new clients, which this candidate will help drive with cutting edge UI/UX design with their existing team.
This is an ideal role for an incredibly driven and passionate individual, keen to make a career out of digital. The candidate will need to be meticulous and have a true natural flair in their design while having the ability to pick up the pace and be fast and efficient when required – a balance of both would be ideal!
Required Experience:
- 2 + years experience
- Strong Digital & UI / UX design portfolio
- Design / Digital / Agency background preferred
Required Skills:
- Wireframing, mockups, prototyping, asset creation, user flows, visual design
- UI design across large websites
- Working with existing layouts and guidelines
- Strong understanding and execution of interaction design and visual design principles
- Develop content and workflow maps
- Experience in and passion for well specified and consistent design system creation and adherence - website patterns, typographic styles, symbol management, grid systems etc.
- Research and development
- Keeping up with design trends and technology
- Experience using Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to help the wider team across non-digital projects – packaging, brand and print
- Fast and efficient
