Trinity Interior Design is a well known, established Interior Design company based in Takapuna looking for a tertiary qualified interior designer to add to our team due to our growing workload.
Our projects are primarily residential and include high end large new builds and renovations. Each project is assigned a designer who is responsible for the specification and selection of all finishes and fittings (both hard and soft fit out), joinery design and project management. The designers are also responsible for design administration and scheduling.
This is an open ended full time contract position. Must be able to put in extra hours when required and be available for travel outside of Auckland.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years New Zealand experience working on large scale, high end residential projects.
- Must hold a design degree or qualification equivalent.
- Must have experience running projects, technical design experience, a good level of structural knowledge to be able to communicate with project managers, architects, contractors, lighting designers and engineers.
- Must have high end Interior design experience for both soft and hard fit out which includes bathroom & kitchen design.
- Must have good knowledge of New Zealand materials, fittings, furniture and finishes and hold existing relationships with local suppliers.
- Advanced CAD skills, Photoshop, Indesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have own laptop, CAD program and other related programs.
- Ability to produce to a high standard - technical drawings, joinery drawings, architectural detailing and FF&E scheduling experience preferred.
- Must have excellent client relationship skills and have excellent visual communication and presentation skills with a high attention to detail essential.
- Must have own vehicle for travel to projects, suppliers and meetings.
