For more than 25 years Central Innovation has been New Zealand's leading supplier of 3D CAD for the architectural profession. We have earned a reputation for delivering the very best design and BIM technology and work with New Zealand’s leading architectural practices.

We currently have openings for 5 students to become part-time Trainee BIM Specialists in our Takapuna office for 12 months as part of the inaugural intake for our Student Program. In this role you will work one day per week with Central Innovation’s team of BIM Specialists supporting customers while you learn more BIM workflows using ARCHICAD.

Participants will be able to join Central Innovation’s BIM courses to grow their skills and receive consultation from Central Innovation’s recruitment team towards a job placement. Successful participants in the Student Program may be invited to join Central Innovation on a permanent basis.

Your experience and qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification or similar in Architecture or Architectural Technology
• Currently studying towards a post-graduate Architectural or Architectural Technology qualification (penultimate or final year)
• Experience using 3D CAD tools or Open BIM tools
• General IT knowledge is desirable

• You must have an excellent written and verbal communications and skills
• You must be able to work well with others in a team
• You are analytical, with well-developed problem solving skills
• You are confident in your own technical abilities
