Detail information about job Planner. Terms and conditions vacancy
For over 130 years, Harrison Grierson has been planning the future of New Zealand, making our mark on tomorrow - one project at a time. From Auckland's Sky Tower to the Christchurch rebuild, we're recognised for our innovation, knowledge, and outstanding client service. Using the latest technologies and ideas, we shape new and sustainable environments, making life better for everyone.
The size of our organisation is something our employees love; we're not too big or small so you quickly become an integral part of the business from day one. As we grow, so too does the talented team of people around us.
That's where you come in
We're looking for an intermediate-level Planner to join the team in our Christchurch office.
You will have 3-6 years' planning experience (preferably including at least 2 years' of New Zealand experience). It is important that you have a strong working knowledge of the New Zealand Resource Management Act, and have experience in consent preparation and processing. It would be advantageous for you to have experience in land development and infrastructure projects.
You'll be personable and outgoing, and looking for a role in a friendly, collaborative environment full of solutions-focused colleagues. You'll have outstanding written and verbal skills, be self-motivated, and able to work with a wide range of people.
What you'll be doing
As a Planner, you'll be part of our talented Christchurch Planning team of four, within a broader national Planning and Urban Design team of approximately 40 people.
No two days will be the same. We have a variety of work for you to get involved in, including preparing resource consent applications, participating in multi-disciplinary land development projects and infrastructure projects, liaising with clients & project teams, and assisting with policy projects across the South Island.
What can we offer?
We're committed to investing in our people and creating high performers. We will provide you with the support, learning, and development to help you grow and take the next step in your career. We provide for work life balance including opportunities for flexible hours and working conditions and a dedicated wellness programme.
