The opportunity
Stantec is a world leader in environmental management, water cycle management in mining and mining technologies, in addition to water, wastewater engineering, asset management, transportation, energy and technology.
We are looking to recruit a Planner with a few years’ experience into our Auckland office, who has a proven track record in delivering high quality planning work. You will have the ability to meet competing demands and deadlines while maintaining an eye for detail and demonstrating the full range of your planning and report writing skills.
In more detail the role involves:
- Developing and managing numerous infrastructure resource consents and designations
- Assist with and/or lead the preparation of RMA planning documents
- Working on multi-disciplinary projects providing planning advice in conjunction with other engineering and management staff
- Relationship building internally and externally
- Assist with and participate in community and stakeholder engagement work.
- Assist with preparation of evidence for council hearings or Environment Court proceedings
Ideally you will have a relevant planning qualification, full membership of the NZPI (or eligibility to apply), and a diverse range of planning experience of at least 3 years. Your RMA plan implementation and policy planning experience will ideally be in a government or consultancy environment. As always, proven effective communication skills are a must.
