The wait is over. Since graduating, You have probably been searching each year for this opportunity - this could be the best Design role in 2018.
Our client is a progressive company who successfully distribute their award winning products worldwide.
Due to unprecedented growth they require another industrial /product design engineer with plastic injection moulding design experience to join their busy close-knit Design team
You will be required to take ownership of multiple projects responsible for all aspects of the design process from concept through to manufacturing.
To blend in with the team dynamic it is likely that you will be at an intermediate level
(5 years' experience).
This role offers a lot of scope.
Initial responsibilities will include:
- Initial contact with the marketing department and customers, working with them to produce initial design sketches to capsulate their ideas and make them reality
- Oversee prototype development
- Produce detailed drawings including specifications and costings.
- Take ownership and formulate BOMs and Record-Keeping systems
To be competent to fulfill this role you will need:

To be creative and able to sketch initial design ideas from a blank canvas and share concepts as part of a team.
- A preference will be given to applicants with plastics material and tooling knowledge who understand the functionality of the design.
- Appropriate Tertiary qualifications with a proven background in Surfacing and product design experience using Solid Works and suites like Rhino, Maxwell or Creo.
