Curiate sells beautiful educational toys – from classic wooden blocks, to hand crafted musical instruments.

We curate the best from around the world to educate and inspire young children in New Zealand and Australia.
We are working towards sustainable sourcing and are very closely involved with Child Labor Free.

We’re looking for a passionate designer to join our team.

You will have an eye for colour and clean typography, a head full of fantastic ideas and the ability to tap in to your inner child.  

You will be working on a stunning contemporary brand, with opportunity to create inspiring work.

This is a part time role (20 hours per week), perfect if you need flexibility, or time to work on your own projects.

It’s a new role, and is available immediately - fixed term for 6 months, with a hope of extending to full time.

The role will be based in our award-winning Birkenhead Office (Sugar Lane Studio).

Key Responsibilities:

• You’ll be working closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager and Sales Manager.
• Designing sales collateral, promotions, brochures/catalogues, POS, trade stands, newsletters, eDMs, DMs and web content.
• Concepting and executing social media content across our social media channels.
• Assisting the Marketing and Brand Manager and Sales Manager with various marketing projects

About You:

• About 2 years experience in a similar role
• A passion for design
• A whizz on the Adobe CC suite
• Good communications skills with a flair for writing on social platforms.
• The ability to work within brand guidelines
• It’s a fast-paced environment, so excellent time management and multi-tasking are essential. 
• As this is a small company so crossover of roles is inevitable – flexibility is important.
• A positive and pro-active approach to your work, and an intelligent and sharp mind
• Outstanding communication and strong people skills
• You will be able to work under direction, or on your own.
• Must be able to legally work in NZ
• Photography skills would be a great addition
• A good sense of humour would be a huge bonus!
