With our main Architecture Studios in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and satellites in Taupo and Taranaki, S&T Architects is focused on delivering unique, smart and innovative design solutions for our varied and discerning client base.
We are passionate about design and approach our projects from a client centric and ‘First Principles’ point of view. With sustainability and the wider architectural context as our key influencers, we take pride in delivering unique solutions for each of our clients.
Our Auckland Design Studio is busy with a growing number of projects and we need a new team member with the skill, passion and maturity to complete our Design and Technical Delivery team. Our work load is varied, generally Commercial with additional focus on Education, Hospitality and Civic work.
We are looking for a Senior Architecture Graduate who ideally has around 5 years’ experience with passion and energy, coupled with a solid technical expertise/background, to join the tight knit and creative team in our Auckland Design Studio.
Key task of the role includes:
- Establishing and confirming Design briefs in consultation with the client group
- Creating Design strategy, carrying out and managing team deliverables accordingly,
- Management of documentation programmes and resources within project fee budgets
- Active member of the BIM development Team
- Leading by example and actively helping to improve our design and documentation practices
- The ability to be able to manage your own deliverables and resources with assistance from others
Key Attributes:
- Around 5 years’ experience, mostly in New Zealand
- Designing and documenting experience, typically in Revit and Sketchup
- Experience in a commercial project driven environment considered advantageous
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design, documentation and detailing ability
- BArch or MArch qualification or equivalent
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of the NZ Building Codes and standards
- Keen interest in continuous improvement.
- Energy and passion for the role and a desire to grow with the firm.
- Team player, positive, helpful and proactive
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Self-motivated and proactive work ethic, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
