SoundSkills is a specialist audiology service for children and adults with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), a hearing disorder that affects ability to cope in difficult listening environments and is a major cause of learning difficulties. SoundSkills' Greenlane based clinic comprises a small professional team who provide clients with an initial diagnosis, appropriate advice and treatment for APD. SoundSkills also carries out clinical research in APD in conjunction with the University of Auckland and Centre for Brain Research. About the Role & what will ensure YOUR success?
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Clinical Administrator is pivotal to the smooth running of our busy clinic to ensure an efficient, caring and seamless experience for our clients and their families whilst they progress through diagnosis and treatment services.
You will be very organised and able to move from answering client queries or referrals on the phone, or by email, to assisting clients visiting the clinic. Many of our clients are children and their families. Children often seek reassurance from you when coming for treatment so a good rapport with children is essential. Interruptions are common but you will be able to keep focused to ensure client reports are prepared, and treatment scheduled with both SoundSkills clinicians and external providers within the recommended timeline. Maintaining our clinical database with updates on treatment progression, plus highlighting any missed treatments is a key responsibility as this ensures our information is accurate and complete for each client.
SoundSkills offers free seminars about their services and you will be responsible for registrations as well as following up enquiries. Being computer savvy and able to quickly learn the use of our patient management system, preparing newsletters and refreshing our website to keep the information current and relevant.
