Bay of Islands Marina is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our customer service team in the marina office at Opua.
This is an exciting and dynamic role that will have you working “front of house” helping customer with their needs, but also out on the marina providing assistance when required.
Our customer base comes from all walks of life and all over the world, mix them in with our local clientele makes for a fun, vibrant and interesting working environment.
This is a 32 hour a week role, working a seven day a week roster - 4 days on 2 days off.
Your daily responsibilities will include;
• First point of contact for customer (face to face, phone or email)
• Tending to all customer enquires
• Processing bookings and departures
• Processing and taking of payments
• Administration and general office duties
• Assisting with dock walks on the marina
• Plus lots of other cool stuff
The successful applicant will need;
• Exceptional customer service skills (previous “front of house” experience an advantage)
• Excellent communication skills and phone manner
• Sound computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Stays cool and calm under pressure
• Be honest and reliable with a high standard of grooming and personal presentation
• Be a team player
An interest in boating or boating knowledge would be an advantage.
