Business Mentors New Zealand Ltd is a not for profit organisation who provides a voluntary mentoring service to New Zealand SME businesses. Our mentoring programmes are delivered nationwide to existing SME’s, start-up businesses and community organisations via a regional business agency network.
This is a great opportunity for someone with passion for the not-for-profit sector and a desire to be able to make a positive contribution to the New Zealand business community. To be successful in this role, you should be proactive, meet deadlines and communicate effectively. Our ideal candidate will have had previous experience as an Executive Assistant and is familiar with current and emerging office management technologies.
Ultimately, you should be able to identify and address the needs of our Chief Executive and our local and remote team members and perform administrative tasks to ensure our company’s workflow runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide all high-level support, advice and assistance to the Chief Executive.
- Coordinate, research and prepare reports and briefing papers.
- Action workflow, where appropriate and in the CEO’s absence.
- Coordinate Board meetings.
- Manage and deliver a diverse range of ad-hoc projects.
- Support the Chief Executive in achieving a high level of compliance and best practice performance.
Skills/Attributes:
- A minimum of 5 years administration experience at a senior level.
- High level of verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a small team environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced MS skills (essential in Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Clear thinker, well organised, level-headed, solution orientated.
- Be a self-starter and take initiative.
- Able to travel.
