An opportunity has arisen at Trust Waikato Waihi Beach Lifeguard Services Inc for an experienced Administration Manager to support the Committee and members.  This role involves running the day to day operation of the Club and therefore the successful candidate must have a variety of business skills.

We are a volunteer organisation providing lifeguarding and patrolling services along the 10km coastline.  The Club is very busy all year and we are looking for a person who understands the culture of a membership-based organisation, always has a very friendly disposition and can communicate and relate to all age-groups.

The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge in accounting and experience with accounting packages like Xero.  Above average computer skills in excel, word, outlook and office administration.  A full understanding of time management, a high level of accuracy, neat and tidy workmanship and a professional and welcoming manner are all necessary characteristics for this position.  

The successful candidate will need to be able to work under pressure and handle varying tasks at one time. To achieve this the individual will need to have a high degree of organisational skills and initiative.

Associated duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·       All levels of accounting, invoicing, reports, GST, PAYE etc

·       Preparing financial reports for Committee meetings

·       Liaise with lifeguards in regards to training requirements, events, sport and requests

·       Updating Surf Lifesaving NZ database and extracting lifeguard reports

·       Assisting and supporting the Committee to achieve the Club's goals

·       Provide administration support for training programmes, swimming school and other events

·       Screen, action and follow up all forms of communication

·       Event management

·       Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, supporters and sponsors

A typing test will be conducted prior to the interview to ascertain the applicant's level of computer skills and police vetting is required for the successful applicant.

The office is opened Sunday to Friday (summer) and Monday to Friday (winter).The position is for 40 hours per week.
