The Pacific Consumer Panel Services team are based in Auckland and Sydney and are responsible for the management of Nielsen’s Australian and New Zealand Homescan panels. These panellists record their household purchases through the use of handheld scanning equipment and are supported by a Helpdesk team.

 

THE JOB BRIEF

We are seeking a Helpdesk Manager to join our Pacific Input Operations team.  In this interesting role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Pacific Helpdesk team in order to provide resource to maintain and support quality compliance.   The Helpdesk team liaise with members of our Homescan Panels in NZ and Australia to ensure they are using our technology correctly to provide us with consumer insights.  The team is diverse and many are either working part time whilst studying, or looking for work/life balance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment and management of the Pacific Helpdesk Team while meeting global KPI’s;
  • Implementation of new processes linked to new initiatives, projects and/or systems;
  • Ensure the team focusses on continual improvement;
  • Manage Helpline resources effectively to ensure the most effective and efficient discharge of these functions, including scheduling and rostering;
  • Generation of reports and other administrative functions
  • Working closely with the Pacific panel management team on a daily basis

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are seeking an experienced manager (ideally with previous call centre industry experience) who:

  • Who is comfortable managing a diverse range of people;
  • Can work independently, as your manager will be based in Australia;
  • Has strong problem solving skills;
  • Has project management skills and is able to work in an environment involving continuous change
  • Has a firm, yet approachable management style;
  • Seeks new, more efficient ways of doing things.
