Waikato Hospital’s Women and Children's Department are seeking a highly motivated Medical Typist to join their friendly typing team, providing typing support to medical and surgical services. 
 
 
The successful applicant will possess the following competencies:

• Be skilled in word processing
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to organise and prioritise
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• High level of initiative, adaptability and willingness to learn new tasks
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Previous Medical Typing/Transcription experience or an Administrator with excellent typing skills and computer literacy is preferred.  Experience in the use of medical terminology would be an advantage.

The role is full time working Monday to Friday from Waikato Hospital.
