THE ROLE
We have a fixed term position available for 12 months within the Sample Reception/Dispatch team. The role is for 30 hours per week, working Monday – Friday.
Hours of work will be Monday 9:00am -5:30pm; Tuesday – Friday 6:15am -11:45am.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaising with customers in person and on the telephone
- Carrying out sample reception duties, including the receipt, registration and delivery of client samples to the appropriate laboratory area
- Data entry into the laboratory computer systems
- General administrative tasks
- Courier liaison
ABOUT YOU
- Excellent communication skills
- Data entry skills with high accuracy
- Strong focus on customer service and excellent phone manner
- Discipline to follow set procedures and show initiative
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Being able to remain calm while working under pressure
- Ability to learn new processes quickly
- Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite in particular)
- Attention to detail is paramount
This is a physical role and some heavy lifting would be involved.
