Who we are

The Logos Project is a Marist Youth Development organisation that works with young people and young adults in Auckland. We support them to engage with the challenges and opportunities they face so they can achieve their full potential, and make a positive impact on their families, community and wider society. We offer catholic secondary schools a range of programmes and services, as well personal formation and support for young adults. 

The role

As the Finance Administrator/PA you will be managing all aspects of our accounts for our small not for profit organisation and assisting our Managing Director in a variety of administrative tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small vibrant team where you can really make a difference. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • All administration of Xero - accounts payable, bank reconciliations, preparing receivables
  • IRD and PAYE filing/returns
  • Monthly financial reports 
  • Grant accountability reports 
  • Coordinate annual accounts for review
  • Payroll/HR coordination 
  • Answering the phone/welcoming visitors
  • Creating office systems and processes 
  • Filing and document handling 
  • Assisting the Managing Director with general administration 
  • Preparing and writing documents
  • Ad hoc duties

To be considered for this role 

You must have experience in the key responsibilities and be confident and competent in your area of work. The Managing Director is looking for someone with a warm and friendly nature, positive mindset and who can have a laugh especially when things get a bit stressful. You're able to prioritise and juggle different tasks. You get excited at organising, creating systems and are resourceful. You enjoy being part of a team and supporting others to do their job well.

There is scope to grow in this role, especially If you are an all rounder or have experience in funding and fundraising. 

You must be a wiz with Xero, Payroll and Microsoft Office.
