We're looking for a dynamic person with a passion for home decor and high quality ethical & sustainable products to join our team working in this sales focused, operations and marketing role.

About the role:

You will be responsible for the operations of The Ivy House, from processing orders through to final delivery to our clients, and all that happens in between. You'll need to be sharp, as attention to detail is super important. You will work closely across our team in this pivotal role - we look after each other and love what we do and look for that energy and passion from you too.

Along with the daily operations, you will be our Social Media and Content guru. You'll work on our website and all social media channels. You will have great scope to really push this area as far as you can - we have huge plans and would love your skills and energy to help us make this happen.

The role is diverse and that's why we seek someone quick on their feet, happy to get stuck in and keep learning, knowing they're pivotal to the team and making a difference in growing the business. You'll understand the importance of great sales technique, whether you're working with clients yourself or supporting your team.

You will be working in our Herne Bay shop - although you could be at Parnell sometimes - so being able to welcome and work with our clients is essential too. You really will be able to run with this role and make a difference and we reward that.

The Role:

  • Monday to Friday based in our Herne Bay store
  • Reporting to the Showroom Manager, but working alongside the General Manager/Director to generate new initiatives.
  • Daily operations - managing client data in our inventory management system and Xero, processing orders, deliveries, liaising with suppliers and clients.
  • While diverse, the role is target focused in supporting our team and ensuring the success of the business.
  • Responsible for our website and Social Media Platforms. Strategy is worked alongside the full team including the GM/Director but the execution of new initiatives will be your responsibility.
  • Working closely with our Design Consultants/Sales team to provide timely and relevant information to support their roles. Assisting them in quoting, checking supplier information - helping them achieve great results.
  • Retail and client assistance as required - we operate a retail presence so a willingness and desire to be 'on the floor' is essential.
  • Bringing energy, ideas, and a willingness to learn and grow; a desire to excel and an expectation to be the best in our field.

What we're looking for:

  • Attention to detail - you revel in getting it right!
  • An engaging and positive personality
  • Creative thinking and a great design aesthetic; a genuine passion for good interior design.
  • A genuine interest in well designed, hand made, high quality products that are ethical and sustainable
  • A passion for excellent team work and customer service - you work well within your team and with your clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • General IT skills - Xero, Excel, Word, Inventory Management/POS systems desirable.
  • Website experience - knowledge of SEO, Analytics and Adwords.
  • Competence in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in high-end retail preferred but not essential.
  • An ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team; being able to show initiative and take direction. Someone who can own this role.
  • Flexibility - you understand what needs to be done and you're happy to do it.
