About our team
GrainCorp Feeds is a Waikato based animal feed business, dealing directly with corporate and farming customers across New Zealand. With increasing market share the business has grown significantly over the past 3 years.

About the role
The Accounts & Administration Manager position is an integral role within GrainCorp Feeds, working closely with the General Manager. Based in our Hamilton office, you will be responsible for leading and motivating the Administration team, act as our systems expert and be the link between the business and our finance team. The role has 5 direct reports. The primary objectives of this role are to oversee the administration functions, ensuring administrative tasks are completed within timeframes and to agreed standards. These tasks include;

  • Customer order processing
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable & debtor management
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Inventory reconciliation and investigation
  • General office administration

This role is very hands on and will suit those who can lead and motivate teams and enjoy working as part of a team and in a fast paced environment, to achieve desired outcomes and who understand the importance of meeting customer expectations.

About your experience
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their ability to lead & motivate a team, who understand the importance of accuracy and meeting deadlines, and who are confident in developing processes to ensure their team meets objectives. Experience in managing small administration or office teams in a fast paced environment is essential. Knowledge of and experience in financial accounting is highly desirable. The keys to success in this role will be your ability to lead & motivate, your attention to detail and ability to both create new processes & improve existing processes to streamline tasks.
