Tasman Bays Heritage Trust (TBHT) is the legal entity and governance body of Nelson Provincial Museum. TBHT is seeking an exceptional Board Secretary to support them in their work as a Charitable Trust.
The Board Secretary will provide a high quality board secretarial administrative service to the Trust Board, Iwi Komiti and Advisory Committees of TBHT.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Previous experience as a Minute Secretary (essential).
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- High standard of written and oral communication skills.
- Fast and accurate computer and data entry skills, including use of MS Office
- Demonstrated experience of working with confidential information in a confidential manner.
- Flexibility to adapt to the different styles of committees and meetings.
- Discipline to work independently and proactively.
- An understanding of the significance of the Treaty of Waitangi is essential.
- A basic understanding of Te Reo Māori and Māori protocol will be an advantage.
- Ability to work some evenings – normal TBHT meetings are the last Tuesday of the month, 3.00 – 7.00pm.
