Transpower connects New Zealanders to their power system, through safe, smart solutions for today and tomorrow. At our purpose built head office in Wellingtons CDB, our reception staff are part of the collaborative team that is responsible for the management of Transpower's office facilities, reception function, residential properties (excluding those acquired temporarily for the purposes of major Capital Works), vehicle fleet, travel procurement and corporate stationery.

Due to internal progression, we have a permanent full time Reception Vacancy, to provide an efficient and effective welcome and support to all visitors and staff of our Wellington Head office Waikoukou.

As the face of Transpower, you will provide an exceptional reception and administrative service and play a key role in the smooth running of our front office. You will also be involved in supporting projects and events.

Proven customer service experience in a frontline reception role within a corporate or large organisation will have honed your ability to handle incoming calls and warmly greet both internal and external customers.

Always positive, approachable and highly organised, you are someone who remains calm and professional. A genuine personalised approach for your customers and continuous improvement focus will ensure you exceed expectations. Experience with financial management software, document management systems and the Microsoft Suite will enable you to contribute quickly.

You will actively collaborate, seeking clarity as required and be confident:

  • communicating with individuals from all walks of life
  • coordinating meeting rooms, events, and pool car bookings
  • answering and coordinating office facilities help desk requests
  • arranging mail services and courier items
  • ordering stationery and business cards
  • liaising with contractors and external vendors
  • providing administrative support as required
