The Cook Costello team in Whangarei are looking for a positive, approachable, superstar administrator to support their productive working environment. Previous experience in a fast paced consulting or associated professional environment would be advantageous. A clear understanding of personal and professional boundaries will be important in keeping focus. The team works hard, so someone who encourages appropriate random acts of fun will be important.

As a member of our Whangarei admin team, you will often be the first point of contact for the company. Having a genuine approachable nature and an understanding of appropriate etiquette will be essential. You will need initiative and a prioritised, solution focussed approach to daily requests for administrative support. Someone who is always anticipating the next thing and takes a pro-active approach to deal with it in advance is important.

You will:

  • be confident communicating at all levels of the business and have the ability to build strong relationships within your office and the wider Cook Costello team
  • be required to have consistent and effective communication with the administrative team across the country
  • have an eye for detail and accuracy with numbers
  • have a strong work ethic
  • enjoy variety and being a reliable member of the team

You will need an understanding of:

  • property/facility management
  • general administration and people
  • office systems payment cycles, accounts, creditors and debtors, finance
  • the importance of great customer service and able to diffuse difficult situations, often over the phone

To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated competency in a professional administration role and be highly proficient in XERO and WorkFlowMax, however a proven ability with similar software that is transferable may be suitable. Microsoft Office 365 and Skype for Business are also used daily. You will have a high level of organisational, time management and problem solving skills with a high level of written and spoken English. An appropriate tertiary or administration qualification is advantageous
