As part of Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety (WIS), NZ Safety Blackwoods is the country’s leading supplier of personal protective equipment, engineering products, work wear and industrial safety products, as well as industry specific training and consulting services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Sales Assistant to join our friendly teams based in Auckland – Northern Region.  Reporting to the Auckland Trade Centre Operations Manager, you will play a key part in contributing to the efficient operation of the branch and play a key part in maximizing customer service levels. Other key responsibilities will include:

• Serving customers in the shop and by telephone including sales, orders and product enquiries
• Liaising with purchasing and branch staff to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time
• Maintaining shop displays. Organise promotions and other marketing/sales exercises as directed.
• Receipting, unpacking and storing inwards goods
• Maintaining stock levels on shelves ensuring appropriate stock rotation
• Picking, packing and dispatching outwards goods accurately and on time
• Arranging stock transfers, procuring orders and managing backorders on a daily basis
• Assisting with all branch stock takes to ensure all products are accurately counted and recorded

As our ideal candidate you have proven experience in a similar role however, we are willing to provide full training to a hardworking individual who is eager to learn. A technical trade background/knowledge is highly desirable. You will be enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively while working well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Your excellent communication skills coupled with initiative and ‘can do’ attitude will make you the stand out.

Please note, the successful candidate will be available as an on call causal staff member
