Office / Accounting Manager - Whangarei

Northpower operates electricity and high-speed fibre network businesses servicing the Whangarei and Kaipara regions. They also own one of the largest electricity services businesses in New Zealand supporting electricity network businesses throughout the country. They employ over 1200 staff across the North Island of New Zealand, providing essential services, and operating in high hazard environments.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position is responsible for developing / maintaining reporting procedures and record keeping, analyzing reports and identifying solutions. The Office Manager leads the accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and Whangarei reception teams and is responsible for managing their performance. This role is responsible for ensuring that the AP, AR and reception functions operate efficiently and effectively. The Office Manager also provides finance support to the wider business, as required, and assists in the preparation of monthly / year-end financial statements including the preparation of some general ledger reconciliations.

To secure this role you'll need both solid accounting and people management experience gained within other roles of a similar nature in New Zealand. You CV will clearly indicate that you're an experienced people manager and that you have excellent technical accounting, administration and technology skills. Preference will be given to applicants with tertiary qualifications.
