National Data Transfer Xchange (DTX) Officer
The successful applicant for this role will form a vital part of our highly effective and specialised DTX team whilst contributing to the wider Import and Export Documentation team as required.
The main purpose of this role is to receive and send data to/from our overseas agents and ports, and to ensure this information is captured correctly into our in-house database system.
THE ROLE
- Ensure timely and accurate transmission and receipt of DTX information
- Liaising with overseas agents and ports on a regular basis
- Updating databases to ensure information is entered correctly and in a timely manner
- Manipulation and comparison of data to produce reports for our overseas agents and port
SKILLS
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong analytical and problem-solving background along with the following skills and attributes:
- High attention to detail
- A well-developed ability to work to tight and challenging deadlines
- A strong internal customer focus
- A resilient nature
- An ability to utilise database programmes and Microsoft Excel from an intermediate to advanced level
- Ability to work independently and in a team
The normal hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday inclusive for 37.5 hours per week. It is also important to note that this role requires weekend work in line with MSC's vessel schedule. Once fully trained you will be rostered to cover vessel arrival and departures and complete the necessary DTX reporting requirements. Where weekend work has been required, you will be compensated time in lieu.
