We are looking for an enthusiastic multitasker who is skilled in providing efficient and effective project administration and business process support.

The role

The purpose of this role is to assist with managing research and delivery of quality research outputs for our Managing Invasives Portfolio, by providing efficient and effective project administration and business process support. This is an open term (permanent), part time (30 hours per week) position, reporting to the Business Support Leader, based at our Lincoln site.

What we are looking for

In this position you will work closely with the Portfolio Leader and, as appropriate, other staff to support research proposals, reports and research outputs. The role is pivotal in enabling the Portfolio Leader to focus on science leadership and strategy, while executing accountability for the management and delivery of the Portfolio's research outputs and communications.

  • a recognised qualification in science, science communication, business administration or project management (significant experience in research proposal development, project management or administration within a research and development environment will also be considered)
  • strong interpersonal relationship skills, along with experience in working in an encouraging and supportive coordination role
  • excellent organisational skills with a proven ability in forward planning, priority setting, problem solving, and meeting deadlines under pressure
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • competency in standard business work processes and systems (e.g. word processing, data management, project management)
