As we take our district from Good to Great, we need more Great people to join our team. Horowhenua District Council are looking for two information management professionals with strong digital literacy skills to join the team that is recognised as the guardian of Council’s information.

Reporting to the Information Management Lead your knowledge and previous experience working with electronic documents and records will enable you to provide informed and valuable support to the day-to-day running of Council's EDRMS.

You will have great problem solving skills and the aptitude to continue further implementation of the system including auditing, training and first level support where it is needed. You'll ensure that our processes and procedures comply with all relevant statutory requirements as well as have the opportunity to contribute to other information management initiatives across Council. In this role, you'll get to work with all areas of the organisation, so building and maintaining great working relationships is a must.

You may be tertiary qualified, but key for us is your experience and passion for information management. You will have demonstrable research skills, and be well versed in the use of electronic document management systems. You will understand the importance of process and won’t be afraid to question how things are done to support the drive for continual improvement across Council.

Your customer service ethic is beyond approach and you enjoy nothing more than working with your customers to reach their goals. You will be a clear and confident communicator, detail focussed and a team player. A sense of humour is a must!

It is the perfect time to join our Information Services team. Recently formed by combining the Information Management and the Information Technology teams we have recently undertaken a review of our structure, and the roles and skills needed to deliver the Information Services Strategic Plan (ISSP) and to continue to support and enhance the delivery of technology and business solutions to the organisation. You will have the opportunity to assist in the success of our EDRMS and wider initiatives.
