  • Play a vital part in the successful day-to-day running of Stuart Nash's office

Playing a key part in the in the smooth running of the Napier Electorate office of Stuart Nash, Labour MP, you will enjoy a varied and multifaceted role. First, you'll be handling the administrative side of things in the office - from reception services and dealing with correspondence, to offering the support your MP needs and researching issues when required. Second, you'll be the go-to person for people from the community who may need advice, have issues, or want to talk over anything of note within the electorate, whether it's over the phone or in person.

You've got a firm grasp of the current political landscape and where the electorate sits within it. You appreciate the sometimes unpredictable nature of this environment and instead of letting it faze you, you thrive on it - putting your proactive, calm, and flexible personality to good use.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experience in administration
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to build relationships with ease
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Facebook and other social media channels
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and ability to pick up other software programs quickly
  • An understanding legislation and the ability to implement it
