ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role sits in Women’s Health Service 

Colposcopy

The Administrator will be responsible for appropriate and accurate management of the Colposcopy Gynae Plus database.

Quality improvement is an important priority and the role is responsible for ensuring the completeness of data submitted in Gynae Plus. When data collection is not complete, the Administrator will identify where further clinical information is required and work with the Clinicians to ensure correct data is collected.

The Administrator will take part in regional colposcopy meetings and teleconferences.

A component of the role is support to Clinicians and management with monitoring trends and data analysis. In addition they provide technical advice as required and support systems design.

The Administrator will contribute to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with the aim of improving patient outcome and care through maintenance of accurate data. This work involves preparatory summaries, outcome information to referrers and MDM reporting. 

MQSP

The New Zealand maternity quality and safety programme is a national programme which establishes and builds upon both national and local maternity quality improvement activities. It seeks to ensure the highest possible safety and best possible outcomes for all new mothers and their babies.

Our maternity quality and safety programme is governed by consumers, LMC representatives, clinicians and managers. A comprehensive work programme is in place with a well monitored action plan.

Quality within the service is supported by a WHS Quality Facilitator (.5 FTE) and an MQSP Coordinator who coordinates the maternity quality safety programme and carries out the effective application of the CCDHB quality framework within both gynaecology and maternity.

This position is also responsible for leave cover for the Data Administration Manager for Gynaecology Oncology (GO)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Sound knowledge of office administration systems and procedures
  • Confidence and the ability to prioritise situations 
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Good computer knowledge with advanced word processing, PowerPoint and spreadsheet skills
  • Sound knowledge of filing management
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports

Proven experience in an administration role is essential. Knowledge of the health environment is desirable.
