About the role:

We have an opportunity for a talented person to join our Finance and Administration team in Christchurch. 

 

 

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Full-function accounts payable and receivable
  • Assisting with accounts enquiries
  • Processing fortnightly payroll
  • Preparing monthly reporting to external accountants
  • Preparing bank payments for authorisation
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing PAYE & GST
  • Regular reporting  to management
  • General administrative and office coordination duties
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Credit control

 

 

About you:

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Xero experience ideally
  • At least 4 years' experience in an accounts position, particularly in accounts receivable and payable
  • A moderate to high skill level in Microsoft, particularly Excel
  • Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail 
  • First class verbal and written communication skills
  • A natural desire to build relationships and provide excellent customer service
  • Great time management and organisational skills to meet accounting deadlines
  • The ability to multi-task effectively, think critically and take initiative

 

This role would suit an experienced accounts professional who takes ownership of their position, enjoys working both independently and within a team environment. Most importantly, this position requires a person who can multitask, listen effectively and offer leadership within a small company
