About the Ministry of Social Development
We help the Government to set priorities across the sector, co-ordinate the actions of other social sector agencies and track changes in the social wellbeing of New Zealanders.
About the Claims Resolution Team
We are responsible for responding and dealing with claims pre 2008 against the Crown that relates to allegations of historic abuse or neglect on the part of Child, Youth and Family and its predecessor agencies.
About the role
The primary purpose of the Team Administrator is to provide efficient, high quality administrative support to assist in the day to day operations of the Claims Resolution team.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in providing high-level administration activities and secretarial support
- Advanced level of word processing, computer and keyboard skills, including knowledge of Excel, email, electronic diary management, internet, graphics, presentation and/or desktop publishing packages are desirable
- Expert knowledge of TRIM and a working knowledge of CYRAS
- Experience working with electronic document management systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong client focus
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Sound problem solving skills particularly in relation to TRIM and other document searches – thinks outside the square
- Reliability, initiative and the willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
- Experience interpreting research requests and conducting file searches
