Lakes Baby Maternal & Child Health Coordination Service
Assistant Coordinator
Permanent, full time
This is a new service that provides a coordinated approach for all Lakes DHB maternal and child health services in the Lakes district, in order to reduce inequalities and maximise health outcomes for women, babies and whanau.
The primary purpose of the Assistant Coordinator position is to assist with the establishment of the Lakes Baby Maternal and Child Health Coordination Service, and to assist to develop and maintain a maternal and child health service provider network. This will include assisting with developing and implementing a referral process and to work as part of the Kia Wana Lakes Baby service and assist to deliver outcomes for the programme as a whole.
A range of skills and knowledge are sought for this role (see JD for more detail) including
• Previous service coordination experience within the health and/or social sector
• Experience working with diverse community groups, organisations and/or consumer groups
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships
• Ability to plan and achieve outcomes
