The opportunity
There’s never a dull moment at our busy and fun-filled pool facilities, and as a Lifeguard you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers have an enjoyable but safe experience.
Your main responsibilities will include providing to all pool users with quality supervision to ensure health and safety standards are upheld; providing customers and colleagues with accurate information on pool policies, Centre facilities and aquatic safety and supporting with the delivery of Centre programmes and classes.
About you
You’ll already have a love for aquatics, and be committed to supporting community safety and wellbeing. Previous experience as a Lifeguard is advantageous, but if you’re a confident swimmer looking to upskill we can support you with training. Having clear and effective communication skills is key, as is being practically-minded and using your imitative where required.
Ideally, you’ll hold a First Aid Certificate as well as a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, however we can also support with training to help you obtain these. The centre operates 7 days a week, so reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts is crucial.

You will be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days.
