Apata Group Limited is a dynamic Kiwifruit and Avocado post-harvest operator in New Zealand's horticultural centre: the Bay of Plenty.  We have a clear strategic plan and a priority goal is the development of our people and business systems.

Apata is positioned as an industry leader in inventory management and quality assurance and we understand that excellence in these critical aspects is paramount to the continued success of our business. The Inventory and Fruit Quality Manager is a crucial senior management role within the company’s Operations division. Your primary responsibility will be to apply your already extensive knowledge and experience of kiwifruit fruit physiology and quality to continuously improve Apata's systems and processes with regard to inventory and coolstore management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  •  High level knowledge and understanding of kiwifruit fruit physiology and fruit quality either in a pre-harvest or post-harvest environment. Experience in both is highly desirable.
  • Systems and process focused with a high degree of computational and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to make prompt and clear decisions and take actions that could involve choices or considered risks
  • A passion for analysing and interpreting data
  • Experience in leading and supervising. 
  • Management experience within the kiwifruit industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to focus on deadlines
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent client service for external and internal clients
