To be successful in this role we are looking for a customer service orientated person, who is energetic and focussed on driving our Company values and mission through to our Customers.

Your duties in this role will include:

  • Provide telephone and email support to SMC customers including actioning any queries or requests they have
  • Provide administrative support to customers and internal sales team
  • Assist in managing back orders no less than once a week run a back order report and action any back orders or modify dates as required.
  • Cash sales and cash handling as required
  • General assistance to management for key accounts and project accounts as required
  • Stores Assistance and Administration

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess and exhibit the following skills:

  • Technical background in a mechanical or electrical discipline
  • Experience in a previous Customer Service or Sales role
  • Experience in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs                                       
  • Must have a current driver’s licence
  • Experience in inbound telephone sales and customer service
