This is a fixed term role for 8 months

 

Do you like working outdoors?  Would you enjoy working in the most scenic location in the country?  Do you like meeting and talking to people?  Then one of these jobs could be perfect for you!

 

We have two fixed term temporary positions available involving:

  • glacier valley hazard management
  • picnic and camping area maintenance
  • track maintenance on local day walks
  • possible opportunities for back country track and/or hut work

 

These positions are based in Franz Josefbut you may be working across the entire area from the Waitaha River in the north to Jacksons Bay in the south. 

 

If you are physically fit, keen to learn and work, and don't mind cleaning toilets regularly then we want to hear from you! A current full driver's licence including experience with manual 4WD type vehicles is essential, and a current first aid certificate and scrub-cutting experience is desirable.

 

These positions will be rostered, and you will be required to work weekends and public holidays (including Christmas/New Year). Applicants must be prepared to fulfil this requirement and be available for full period of employment from Monday 01 October 2018 to Friday 31 May 2019.

 

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
