An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hard worker to assist our winemaking team in the performance of cellar duties.  For the most part, the job is a normal full time position worked from Monday to Friday.  However, applicants need to be aware that throughout vintage the job involves long hours and therefore demands both the physical capacity and mental commitment to meet the rigours of this period.

 

The following attributes will be of particular benefit in meeting the requirements of the position:

 

  • No formal qualifications are necessary, but absolute dedication to the achievement of excellence in all tasks is expected;
  • A level of fitness appropriate to the physical demands of the role;
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including a willingness to work as required in other areas of Te Mata Estate’s business activities;
  • Self-reliance and initiative;
  • Show an unwavering attention to detail.

 

Preference will be given to those applicants who:

  • Have a strong interest in wine;
  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification.
