The Prostate Cancer Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that has a significant role in promoting public awareness of this disease. With over 3000 New Zealand men being diagnosed each year, early detection is paramount. Blue September is our major campaign in spreading the message to our Kiwi men and raising funds to support the work of our organisation.
Throughout New Zealand many people and groups organise Blue Do events to promote awareness and raise funds. This role will provide liaison with, and support to, Blue Do event organisers.
Are you a fundraising /sales guru? We require a part-time fundraiser on a fixed term to help support and foster relationships to maximise fund-raising for our major campaign.
The ideal applicant will:
• Be friendly, energetic, and have strong verbal communication skills
• Be passionate about the organization and thecause we represent
• Demonstrate experience in achieving fund-raising targets
• Possess excellent listening skills in order toengage fully with Blue Do organisers
• Exercise logic and spontaneity when conversing with the Blue Do organisers
• Execute the fundamentals of making a “quality” call; i.e. opening, ask levels, objection responses
• Be a team player in order to work well with everyone in our team.
We are looking for a person who can hit the ground running and has the self-discipline required to get things done. The ability to think on your feet with good time management skills is essential.
This part time position (up to 15 hours/week) will be based in Albany, Monday – Friday and with flexible hours during August and September. (No cold calling)
