Detail information about job Revenue and Relationships Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

ChildFund New Zealand is an international development organisation working in partnership with several dedicated communities in Asia, Africa and the Pacific to deliver community development programmes, prioritising outcomes for children and youth.  Our work relies on outstanding people, systems and processes, and sustainable revenue to fund the great on-the-ground work that enables children and youth to thrive.

ChildFund New Zealand is seeking a Revenue and Relationships Manager who can bring innovation to our marketing and fundraising. ChildFund New Zealand’s way of working is highly flexible, interactive and largely project-oriented. One week you could be leading a project team comprising programmes and marketing staff to develop a massive drive to recruit new regular givers; the next you might be helping ideate the creation of a new Pacific programme. You will never be bored!

While you will have solid experience in fundraising and marketing and a proven track record, above all we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate that they’re highly motivated with great ideas and who’s a fabulous project manager. You will need to be excellent at communicating with others, and thrive in a team environment. Our pace is fast and you’ll need to drive this pace.

Yes, you will have to project the organisation’s fundraising needs and ensure the funds are raised ($15 million and more each year).

Yes, you will have tools to help you, and you will be willing and able to drive our marketing automation and be our champion for fundraising.

Yes, you will be responsible for growing our loyal supporter base, and ensuring those who entrust us with their donations stick with us and love the experience we give them.

Yes, you will manage people. You’ll have great team members reporting to you, working in our donor contact centre and coordinating campaigns. You’ll also manage relationships with a number of agencies, suppliers, contractors and interns who we will engage for specific projects.

Working right alongside you will be your Impact Team and finance/IT colleagues.

So what do you need to do this job?

Essential skills are:

  • Fundraising campaign management for both acquisition and retention of donors, across a variety of channels
  • Excellent project management skills – you’ll need to work fast and drive projects to speedy, successful conclusions
  • Critical thinking, systems thinking, design thinking, EQ, IQ, CQ – we're looking for someone who's ready to think bigger and broader than most
  • Relationship management – we want partners and staff to love working with you
  • Creativity – we’re keen to try new, innovative ideas and want you to help us find them
  • Bravery – come with an open mind and the desire to give new things a go
  • Conviction – we live our values at ChildFund. We expect people to do the right thing, not the easy thing, and always keep the children and supporters front and centre of our work

ChildFund New Zealand’s lean structure means we have a small leadership team comprising the CEO, Director of Impact, and Director of Finance and Accountability. You’ll report to the Director of Impact. Some overseas travel may be required so you can get to know our programmes. You’ll also work closely with your ChildFund Alliance counterparts globally – a cohort of international fundraisers and marketers from 10 other child-focussed agencies who enjoy their independence, but also value opportunities to collaborate.

This job is what you make it! The opportunities are endless…

We are looking to fill this position with urgency.
