If you are an experienced health promoter and enjoy engaging with people - come and join our vibrant Community Oral Health team as a Health Promoter.
Working for the Southern District Health Board, you will promote Oral Health within the community across the Otago region.
You will need to have a good understanding of the principles of the Ottawa charter, be able to undertake health needs assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating projects to promote health improvement. In addition the role includes oral health advice and dissemination of resources to other agencies and groups.
There is a significant administrative component to this role so it is essential that you are computer literate, have strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
You will be required to travel throughout the Otago region and engage with community groups. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, allowing you to liaise and engage with a diverse range of people from a variety of different cultures and communities. This position is based in Dunedin.
Although this is a full-time position, part-time applicants may be considered.
It is essential that you have a full clean driver’s licence.
